Ace Rimmers WILDFIRE

This model is from Red Dwarf, Ace Rimmer's ship WILDFIRE. This measures 24 inches by 14 inches and is fully lit up with LEDs in the cab and the main engines at the rear. This is completely built from plastic card and p38 filler and again took me around a month to complete. The Rimmer figure inside was a Cutter figure from Primeval which I bought from a toy shop and converted. It is not screen accurate as the original prop was not very well detailed so I built it to how I wanted it to look. The one thing I did change was the thickness of the upper wing; on the original it was wider, so I shortened it to make it look more streamlined as I preferred it that way. It was finished with 2 tins of motor spray, then masked up and panel lines were airbrushed in over the whole model.
