I just wanted to share shots of my Moon Bus before the Moebius edition comes out.... This is the Moon Bus from ''2001: A Space Odyssey '' in 1/55 scale

For the most part, I built this 1969 Aurora kit straight from the box, as I wanted to display the tooling from that era as much as have an accurate model of the movie vehicle. Since the rear interior wall of the Moon Bus isn't clearly seen in the movie, I decided to add a blue LED to the rear bulkhead to highlight the hand painted details, and hide the wires behind the hatch. For the red lighting in the cockpit, I drilled holes in the display screens on the control panel and put 2 red LEDs behind them, illuminating the pilots' faces.

The exterior was finished in flat white. I used rust, silver and flat gull gray on the interior. The base is designed to simulate the landing pad in the movie and lit with 27 LEDs. It's finished in flat gray, gray primer and flat black.
