In the universe of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, the Babel Fish is a small yellow fish that, when inserted into the ear, is a universal translator which simultaneously translates from one spoken language to another. This figure represents the Babel Fish as seen in the movie. It is a resin figure bought at the 2005 Wonderfest, the year the movie was released. It was produced by Pinkerton FX. It is supposed to be 1:1 scale, but it seems a bit larger than the Babel Fish appeared in the movie. More pictures and description of the build can be found here |
