Scratchbuilt Millennium Falcon

By Barrie Clucas

Well guys here it is, the BIGGEST scratchbuilt millenium falcon in England, unless some one out there knows different, taking over 10 months to build from plastic sheet, Everegreen rod and tube and some kind left over pieces from my local hobby shop (Transport Models of Preston).

The model is now on display in the shop. Mark and David were a great help and kept me going when the project seemed to be just a bit too big. Over 30 sheets of plastic card, approximately 10 bottles of liquid poly, and countless spare parts were used. There were in total well over a thousand hand cut pieces. The model is 42 inches long, 32 inches wide and 8 inches high and nearly ten months to build from a small drawing of the good old internet to the last drop of paint.
