USS Surprise |

This is the USS Surprise. She is a contemporary of Enterprise 1701 (TOS era). She would be classified as a scout or an escort. I decided to name her after Captain Lucky Jack Aubrey's ship from one of my favorite movies, Master and Commander. The model is made from solid wood (as always) with cardboard and scrapbook paper greeblies. The decals were made on Powerpoint and printed on regular copy paper. They were cut out and applied using stick glue. The deflector dish was made from a discarded automotive panel fastener that I rescued from the trash can at work. She was fun to build and came together nicely. |
