Hi I'm from Hungary and my favourite film the Aliens, and also like modeling. This is my first sci-fi theme diorama but not the last.

The main project is the Colonial Marines APC in 1/72nd scale with full scratchbuild with full interior, but later I've decided to make a diorama for it. Originally based the Hadley's Hope station but it's to big, and I'll like something else. In the Aliens 2 movie mentioned the Arcturian mission by the crew at the dinner. The diorama is an imaginable scene of this colony that same to Hadley's Hope. The scene is the marines get off the APC and covering each other (same as the movie) until reach the underground complex entrance. Next to the entrance stationed a power loader -full scratchbuilt- and other equipments. The station looks like deserted long time...another bug hunt...

The models with the marines are scratchbuilt with various elements (car, ship, tank parts, and styrene sheet) power loader only from tank parts. The figures are from Revell 1/72nd German afrikakorps, with total conversion. All figures get a Kevlar vest (styrene) comm set, lamp, equipments, and the pulse rifle, flamethrower and smartgun (mg42 conversion like the original in the movie).

The APC interior is fully based on the film, I probed accurately rebuild the interior.

The assault team is from the Aliens movie characters (Apone, Hicks, Hudson, Frost, Dietrich, Drake, Vasquez) The diorama base is plaster, the rocks made from aluminum sheet.

The pictures when the power loader is separated, in the front the coin is 1cm in diameter.

I planned a light source to the colony and in/under the APC for interior light and headlight. Building time about 3 months, except the power loader is only 1 day!
